2008 proved to be a landmark year for Tibet and pro-Tibetan movement in Poland and all over the world. It was a year of the Olympic Games in Beijing and historic, the biggest since 1959 protests that spread across the Tibetan Plateau.


The Olympic campaign and subsequent response to the crisis in Tibet for the first time showed the strength of coordinated activities of organizations that act for Tibet (TSG). Tibetan Programme of the Other Space Foundation took an active part in these actions and the answer of Poland and the Poles who participated in mass and individual events was widely noticed.
