I would like to express my profound respect for the steadfast attitude of Your Holiness in Your efforts to obtain the freedom of nations and peace among people. Like so many Poles who have been afflicted by history, I am particularly inspired by the course of action which Your Holiness has undertaken in the matter of human and civil rights.
I would like to support wholeheartedly the invitation to visit Poland which was sent to Your Holiness by the Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Mr Bogdan Borusewicz.
I would be enormously happy and honoured if, during Your visit to our country, Your Holiness would agree to meet me to talk about the possibilities of supporting Your noble mission in the matter of Tibet.
